Abstract

To evaluate the positional changes of tooth involved in periodontitis after loss of inflammation, eleven patients with full dentition were selected. And then surgical curettage by flap were performed to all of the subjects.
A reference points were determined on the sharply demarkated anatomical depressions located on tooth surfaces. Eleven measuring distances were recorded by the way of VERNIER GUAGE in the site of intraoral and study models.
The results were as follows ;
1. In all of the measuring distances, there were significant positional changes after one month and two months after treatment on upper and lower jaws (p ( 0.05)
2. The differences between one month and two months after treatment were not detected statistically.
3. In upper jaw, the differences after treatment were more prominent than that of lower jaw.
It was suggested that the definite evaluation of occlusion should be confirmed after eliminate the periodontal inflammation completly.
